One of the most important things you can do before your wedding spray tan? Don’t create a sun tan line.

It may seem harmless to get a little color beforehand, but an uneven tan line from the sun can be very difficult to correct with a spray tan. We can enhance your natural skin tone and create a beautiful, even glow—but we cannot spray over a sunburn or completely erase a deep tan line.

What to Do Leading Up to Your Wedding Tan

Wear SPF. Protect your skin every day, especially if you’ll be spending time outdoors. Sun exposure can create uneven color and, even worse, a sunburn that we cannot safely spray over.

Be mindful of your swimsuit. If you’re tanning in the sun, avoid creating harsh strapless or bikini tan lines. If you know you’ll be wearing a strapless wedding dress, keep your sun exposure as even as possible.

Skip intentional tanning before your spray tan. Your wedding tan should be your final step toward achieving an even, natural glow. There’s no need to “pre-tan” in the sun.

Never try to tan over a sunburn. If your skin is red, peeling, or damaged from sun exposure, wait until your skin has fully healed before spray tanning.
